Interview Island
Interview Island is one of the Andaman Islands , India. It has an area of 99 km2 and is situated to the west of Austen which separates North Andaman Island and Middle Andaman Island
Its sight is first picked up by the vessels approaching the Islands from Visakhapatnam. This is the only island inhabited by wild elephants.
Interview Island is a barren sanctuary, faraway from the northwest coast of Middle Andaman. It was opened to tourists in 1997. Only way to reach here is by hiring a private fishing vessel from Mayabunder jetty.
Interview Island Sanctuary covers an area of 133 sq km and is situated at the north west border of Middle Andaman Island. This sanctuary is famous for its elephants. More than 75 elephants are protected in this sanctuary.
